Avant, Samonski sign with four-year schools

RIDGELAND --- On Dec. 8, Holmes Community College Lady Bulldog soccer sophomores Kaylee Avant and Brooklynn Samonski signed to continue their collegiate careers at four-year universities. Avant is set to join Mississippi College, while Samonski will head to the University of South Alabama.

WICHITA, Kan. --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs picked up a 1-0 win over Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Tuesday to advance to the 2025 NJCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Tournament semifinals on Thursday. Thursday’s semis will be the fifth in the last six tournaments.

Bartholomew named goalkeeper coach

Coach Beau Bartholomew joins the Holmes Community College soccer staff as the Goalkeeper Coach. A native of Mississippi, Bartholomew played his high school soccer at Northwest Rankin, where he helped lead his team to a North State Championship in 2019. Alongside his high school career, he competed in elite club programs including Mississippi Rush, Brilla, and RSE.
