Lady Bulldogs place seven on the All-MACCC team

RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs placed seven players on the All-MACCC team for their play during the 2025 season.

The Lady Bulldogs captured the MACCC title, their ffith in the last seven years. Holmes won their first two pool games in the NJCAA National Tournament before falling in the semifinals last week in Wichita, Kansas.

Awards included: Maddie Caldwell, Kaylee Avant, Tyler Grace Sims, Daysha Taylor, First Team; Lilly Callum, Second Team; and Aly Vancor and Brooklynn Samonski, Honorable Mention. Caldwell is a freshman midfielder from Jackson Prep, Avant is a sophomore midfielder from Newton County, Sims is a freshman midfielder from Northwest Rankin, Taylor is a sophomore defender from Navarre, Fla., Callum is a freshman goalkeeper from Madison Central, Vancor is a freshman goalkeeper from Northwest Rankin and Samonski is a sophomore midfielder from Nottingham, N.J.

Caldwell, Avant, Sims and Taylor will now be considered for the NJCAA All-Region team.
