No. 4 Lady Bulldogs kick off regular season Tuesday at Southern Union State

RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs return nine players from the 2024-25 team that made it to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in Huntsville, Ala. before falling in the semifinals. The Lady Bulldogs begin the regular season on Tuesday vs. Southern Union State Community College.

Holmes, who finished 17-5-2 overall and 8-1-2 in the MACCC, has appeared in five straight NJCAA Division II National Tournaments and made it to the championship game in two of those.

The Lady Bulldogs returning players include: Brooklynn Samonski, forward, Nottingham, N.J.; Brenna Sanford, defender, Richland; Kaylee Avant, midfielder, Decatur; Daysha Taylor, defender, Navarre, Fla.; Kate DeAngelo, midfielder, Baton Rouge, La.; Anna Beth Korhonen, forward, Foley, Ala.; Emma Korhonen, forward, Foley, Ala.; Jacie Rouse, defender, Brandon; and Akala Jacobs, forward, Madison.

Newcomers include: Lilly Callum, goalkeeper, Madison Central; Aly Vancor, goalkeeper, Northwest Rankin; Rylee Kirkland, forward, Sumrall; London Martinez, midfielder, St. Martin; Myla Thortis, defender, Northwest Rankin; Mallory Sutton, forward, St. Amant, La.; Kate Gray Nesbit, forward, Northwest Rankin; Tyler Grace Sims, midfielder, Northwest Rankin; Zion Causey, forward, Oak Grove; Sidney Clare Sing, defender, Northwest Rankin; Jessica Adamson, forward, Madison; Rosamaria Ibarra, forward, Hernando; Maddie Caldwell, midfielder, Jackson Prep; Lillian Moody, forward, Heritage Academy.

Wesley Noble returns as head coach of the Lady Bulldogs. Hardy Lewis has joined the Holmes family as assistant for both the women's and men's team. Volunteers Miguel Molina and Sarah Keeton Odom return as well.
