CLARKSDALE --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs went to 8-2 overall and 1-1 in the North Division here Monday night with a 91-61 win over the Coahoma Community College Lady Tigers.
The Lady Bulldogs will take a few weeks off before returning to action on Jan. 6 in Utica versus Hinds Community College at 5:30 p.m. Holmes returns home on Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. versus Southwest.
Holmes led 37-29 at halftime and outscored the Lady Tigers 54-32 in the second to pull out the win. Aja Williams led the Lady Bulldogs with 28 points while Minyone Hill had 13. Williams and LaShonda Wilson each had eight rebounds.
