RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs' playoff hopes were dashed here Wednesday night by the hands of the Hinds Community College Eagles after Hinds defeated Holmes 3-1 in the final regular season game.

With the loss, the Bulldogs ended the season at 8-6-1 and 2-5-1 in the North Division. Holmes had to win the match to make it to a play-in MACJC State Tournament game versus a South Division opponent.

Hinds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute. Holmes' Ryan Olson tied the match on a Martin Cobb assist in the 13th minute. Hinds then added a goal in the 57th minute and the 72nd minute to solidfy the win.
