Bulldogs improve to 9-1 with win over Meridian

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to 9-1 on the season with a 77-57 win over the Meridian Community College Eagles here Thursday night.

Holmes will end first semester play on Saturday at 2 p.m. vs. the Louisiana Knights.

The Bulldogs led 36-25 at halftime and then outscored the Eagles, 41-22, in the second half.

Andrew Mancell led the Bulldog with 19 points while Trey Alexander had 13, Markalon Rochell had 12, and David Washington and Kameryn Bailey each had 10. Mancell led with eight rebounds.

Holmes shot 52.7 percent from the floor and 42.9 percent from the three-point line.
