GOODMAN --- Holmes Community College freshman Daryl Macon hit eight three-pointers and had 32 points to help lead the Bulldogs to a 82-59 win season-opening win over Copiah-Lincoln here Monday night.
With the win, the Bulldogs went to 1-0 on the season. Holmes travels to Baton Rouge Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
The Bulldogs led the Wolves 38-23 at halftime and then outscored Co-Lin 44-36 in the second half. Macon had four three's in the first half and 16 points.
Marcus Washington followed Macon with 12 points while D'Angelo Richardson had 10. Cedric Harper was the leading rebounder with seven and had three blocks.
