Bulldogs fall to Wolves, 30-13

WESSON --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell here Thursday night to the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves, 30-13, in a MACCC contest.

Holmes travels to Coahoma next Thursday to begin North Division play.

Co-Lin scored on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter to go up 7-0 after the made PAT. They increased the lead to 10-0 later in the quarter on field goal.

The Wolves then recorded two safeties to go up 14-0.

Holmes answered on the Wolves next drive when Kam'Ron Robinson interecepted a pass and raced in from 60 yards out. The extra point was blocked, and Co-Lin led 14-6 with 4:15 left in the second.

The Wolves added another field goal to lead 17-6 at halftime.

Co-Lin scored early in the third on a rushing touchdown to go up 23-6.

Holmes got an offensive touchdown with 11:50 to play in the third quarter when Chase Richardson found Cayden Burger from 65 yards out. The PAT was good, and Co-Lin led 23-13. The Wolves answered back to score their final points of the night on a rushing touchdown. The PAT was good and Co-Lin led 30-13.
