BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- The No. 4 Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs picked up two win over the weekend over Meridian Community College in Meridian Friday, 3-0, and Gordon State College, 2-0, here in Birmingham Sunday.
With the wins, the Lady Bulldogs improved to 12-0-1 and 6-0-1 in the MACCC. The Gordon State College was a non-conference match.
Against Gordon State Sunday, Tailynn Remmel got the scoring started in the 72nd minute on an assist from Brianna Lopez. Remmel then scored a minute later on an assist from Olivia Deslatte.
Against Meridian on Friday, Callie McKinney scored in the second minute on an assist from Jordan Patrick to put Holmes up 1-0. Remmel then scored in the fourth minute on an assist from Jaycelyn Russ to put Holmes up 2-0. Holmes led 2-0 at halftime.
The Lady Bulldogs cored in the 50th minute on a unassisted goal from Kaci Craft.
