Deslatte and Wilson named United Soccer Coaches All-Americans
Two Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs --- Olivia Deslatte and Ravynne Wilson --- have been named United Soccer Coaches NJCAA Division II All-Americans.
Holmes finished the 2021-22 season 14-3-2 overall and captured their sixth straight MACCC North Division title. Holmes was the MACCC/Region 23 runners-up and got an at-large bid to the 2021 NJCAA National Tournament in Wichita. The Lady Bulldogs went 1-1 in pool play in Kansas.
Prior to the national tournament, Deslatte and Wilson were named First Team All-MACCC North Division.
The pair were members of the 2020-21 team that won their second MACCC/Region 23 championship and a fifth straight North Division title. The team finished runners-up in the first-ever NJCAA Division II Tournament early last summer in Evans, Ga.
During the 20-21 season, Deslatte was named NJCAA All-Region 23 and was named a United Soccer Coaches Player of Distinction. Wilson was named NJCAA All-Region 23 and was named Second Team NJCAA All-American and named to the NJCAA All-Tournament Team.
Deslatte, a sophomore midfielder from Madison, played her high school career at Madison Central before playing at Holmes. She had two goals and two assists this season. Wilson, a sophomore forward from Meridian, played her high school career at Clarkdale. She finished this season with 16 goals and seven assists.
