WICHITA --- The 2021 season has come to an end for the Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs in the second match of pool play in the NJCAA Division II Women's Soccer Tournament after the Lady Bulldogs fell to Pima, 3-2, here today.
The Lady Bulldogs finished the season with a 14-3-2 record including a North Division Championship and a second place finish in the MACCC/Region 23 Tournament. This year's tournament appearance was the second in a row after the Lady Bulldogs finished as national runners-up last season in Evans, Ga.
Holmes was the No. 5 seed while Pima was the No. 4 seed. Coming into the tournament, Holmes was ranked No. 3 in the NJCAA while Pima was No. 6.
Pima took a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute. The Aztecs added to their lead in the 33rd minute to lead 2-0 at halftime.
Ravynne Wilson go the Lady Bulldogs on the scoreboard in the 46th minute when she scored on an assist from Madelyn Polk.
Pima scored their third goal in the 49th minute to go up 3-1.
The Lady Bulldogs final goal came in the 54th minute when K'lee Pittman scored on an assist from Callie McKinney.
