RIDGELAND --- The No. 6 Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs went to 7-1-1 on the season with a 6-0 win over Meridian Community College here today.
Holmes is scheduled to play Gordon State on Friday at 5 p.m at Meridian Community College in the Rush Invitational.
The Lady Bulldogs got on the scoreboard in the 4th minute on a goal from Olivia Deslatte on an assist from Katelin Johnson. Kaci Craft added to the scoring in the 13th minute on an assist from K'lee Pittman. The Lady Bulldogs final goal in the first half came in the 15th minute when Ravynne Wilson scored on an assist from Lydia Hutcherson to lead 3-0 at halftime.
In the second half, Callie McKinney scored in the 48th minute on an assist from Craft to put Holmes up 4-0. Johnson got a goal of her own in the 64th minute on an assist from Hollyn Oswalt in the 64th minute. Darian Blackburn rounded out the scoring in the 65th minute on an assist from Madelyn Polk.
Avery Belden had thre saves in the contest with 90 minutes in goal.
