Four Lady Bulldogs named to the NJCAA All-Region XXIII Team

Four members of the Holmes Community College Lady Bulldog soccer team have been named to the NJCAA All-Region XXIII Team.

Holmes captured the North Division title for the fifth consecutive time. They were the MACCC, NJCAA Region XXIII and NJCAA South District Champions and finished as the NJCAA DII Women's Soccer National Runner-up after last week's national tournament in Evans, Ga.

Included on the team are: Cariel Ellis, Ravynne Wilson, Olivia Deslatte and Mackenzie Thompson.

Ellis is a sophomore from Madison, Wilson is a sophomore from Meridian, Deslatte is a freshman from Madison and Thompson is a sophomore from Pelahatchie.

On the season, Ellis finished with 16 goals and eight assists while Wilson had 14 goals and four assists, Deslatte had five goals and six assists and Thompson had one goal and 10 assists.

Ellis, Wilson and Thompson were named to the NJCAA All-Tournament Team with Ellis being named the Most Outstanding Offensive Player.
