Ellis named MACCC Player of the Week

Holmes Community College sophomore forward Cariel Ellis has been named the MACCC Women's Soccer Player of the Week for her play last week vs. East Central and Northwest.

Ellis, a University of Arizona signee, scored three goals and had two assists last week on six shots and three shots on goal. Holmes defeated East Central on Tuesday, 4-0, and Northwest on Friday, 6-0.

The Lady Bulldogs are playing in the MACCC/Region XXIII Tournament this weekend at Gulf Coast vs. the winner of Gulf Coast/Northwest. Gametimes have not been released yet.

She will now be considered for NJCAA Division II Player of the Week.
