Freeport, Fla. native Nathan Roberts has joined the Holmes Community College women’s basketball program as an assistant coach in 2025.

The Freeport High School graduate played multiple sports in high school including baseball, basketball and golf serving as team captain for basketball and baseball and was the team’s No. 1 golfer.

After graduating from high school, Roberts chose Troy University to continue his education, where he earned both his bachelor’s (2023) and master’s (2025) degrees in Sport Management.

As a graduate assistant at Troy, the program experienced historic success highlighted by a championship victory at the prestigious Great Alaska Shootout, a trip to the WNIT Fab Four in the 2023–2024 season, and a run to the WNIT championship game in 2024–2025.

Known for his work ethic, attention to detail, and passion for the game, Roberts contributed significantly to scouting, film breakdown, and on-court player development at Troy. His experience in a winning culture at the NCAA Division I level brings valuable perspective to the Bulldogs’ program.

He is the son of Steve and Dana Roberts and has one brother, Braden.
