GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs trailed 33-26 at halftime but battled back in the second half to tie the game and win in overtime, 86-82. Julissa Claxton hit a three-pointer with seconds to play to tie the game and force overtime.
Bella Roberts hit three three-pointers in overtime and Kiara Shelly added five points to pull out the victory.
Holmes, 5-8, will play at home Monday vs. South Arkansas at 5:30 p.m.
Shelly led with 18 points while Roberts and Hannah Finley each had 16 and Nevaeh Craft had 14. Shelly led with 11 rebounds while Claxton added eight.
Against East Mississippi Monday, the Lady Bulldogs fell in overtime, 69-63. Amanda Walker led with 12 points while Finley had 10. Walker had 11 rebounds in the game.
