BATON ROUGE, La. --- The Holmes Lady Bulldogs fell to the Baton Rouge Lady Bears, 71-65, here Tuesday night.
Holmes will play in the SMCC Classic on Thursday and Friday in Summit. They'll play Hinds on Thursday at 4 p.m. and Southwest at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
The Lady Bulldogs led 34-26 at halftime, but the Lady Bears outscored the Lady Bulldogs, 45-31, in the second half for the win.
Kaira Shelly led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points while Bella Roberts had 12. Shelly led with eight rebounds while Amanda Walker had seven.
