Holmes falls to Gulf Coast in MACCC action

PERKINSTON --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs fell here Saturday in two close MACCC contests with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College falling 2-0 in game one and 4-3 in game two.

Holmes, now 18-12 and 3-3 in the MACCC, hosts Coahoma on Wednesday at 4/6 p.m.

Presley Scarbrough got the start in game one and suffered the loss. Miley Billie had a double.

In game two, Avery Smith got the start. Josie Azlin, Haylen Pascal and Scarbrough all pitched in game two with Pascal suffering the loss. Tashika Carothers led with two hits including a homerun. McKenzie Blue added a double. 

Against East Miss on Tuesday, Holmes won 13-4 and 12-4. 

In game one, Presley Scarbrough picked up the win. Tashika Carothers led with three hits including a homerun while Miley Billie added a double. In game two, Josie Azlin got the start but Avery Smith picked up the win in relief. Lauren Frazier and Allie Henderson each had two hits. Carothers had a homerun while Megan Brewer and Alyssa Sockey had doubles.
