Lady Bulldogs go 2-2 in Coyote Classic in Gulf Shores, Ala.

GULF SHORES, ALA. --- The Holmes Community College went .500 in the Coyote Classic Tournament here Friday and Saturday. Holmes defeated Enterprise and Coastal Alabama-North on Saturday but fell Friday to Central Alabama and Bishop State.

Holmes plays at Southwest Tennessee on Wednesday in a noon DH.

Against Enterprise State, Holmes won 2-1 in eight innings. Avery Smith picked up the win. Mauhree Jones led with three hits.

Against Coastal Alabama, Holmes won 10-0 in five innings. Allie Henderson led with three hits while Karly Garner had two with each adding a double.

Against Bishop, Holmes fell 4-3. Avery Smith suffered the loss after Azlin got the start. Fabre and Kamiyah Stephens each had two hits.

Against Central Alabama, Holmes fell 5-3. Presley Scarbrough suffered the loss. Lauren Frazier led with two hits with Frazier, Carothers and Mauhree Jones each having a double.

Against Reid State on Wednesday, Holmes won 9-0 and 12-4. In game one, Josie Azlin picked up the win. Miley Billie led with two hits. Emma Fabre, Megan Brewer and Bille each doubled while Tashika Carothers and Billie homered.

In game two, Avery Smith picked up the win. Allie Henderson led with three hits while Billie had two. Carothers and Henderson each doubled.
