Lady Bulldogs split with Marion Friday
MARION, Ala. --- Holmes split two games with Marion here Friday winning 7-5 and falling 4-1.
Holmes, now 3-1, will play at Reid State on Wednesday.
In game one, Presley Scarbrough got the start and the win. Tashika Carothers, Miley Billie and Lauren Fraizer each had two hits with Carothers and Billie each adding a double while Kamiyah Stephens hit a homerun.
In game two, Avery Smith suffered the loss. Josie Azlin also pitched in the game. Carothers had a homerun.
On Wednesday vs. Delta, Holmes won 8-0 and 5-4.
In game one, Scarbrough went the distance and had a no hitter. Karly Garner led with two hits while Carothers had a homerun and Megan Brewer and Billie doubled.
In game two, Smith picked up the win. Billie and Azlin each had two hits with Emma Fabre, Allie Henderson, Frazier and Billie each adding a double.
