Softball season kicks off tomorrow at home

The 2025-26 Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs have five players returning to this year's team. Holmes kicks off the season tomorrow in Goodman at 3 p.m. vs. Jackson State Community College.

Returners include: Lennie Kate Wood, utility, Winona; Josie Azlin, pitcher/outfielder, Leland; Emma Fabre, outfielder, Brusly, La.; Miley Billie, utility, Carthage; and Megan Brewer, catcher, Olive Branch.

Newcomers include: Tashika Carothers, infielder/catcher, Taylor; Allie Henderson, outfielder, Terry; Avery Smith, pitcher, Sumrall; Presley Scarbrough, pitcher, Ackerman; McKenzie Blue, infielder, Madison; Kamiyah stephens, utility, Independence; Karly Garner, catcher/infielder, Laurel; Kailyn Ely, outfielder, Hattiesburg; Lauren Frazier, outfielder, Philadelphia; Hayley Pascal, pitcher, Picayune; Mauhree Jones, pitcher, Philadelphia. Carothers is a sophomore transfer from Mississippi Delta while the remaining players are freshmen.

Matt Hudson returns for his second season as head coach while Katie Mitchell is in her fourth season at Holmes as assistant.
