Holmes splits with Northeast in MACCC action

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs split two games here Tuesday with Northeast Mississippi Community College winning 3-2 and falling 5-0.

Holmes travels to East Central on Saturday at 2/4 p.m.

In game one, Elleigh Willis went seven innings. She gave up two runs on six hits with one strikeout. Katelyn Gipson and McKayla Crowley each led the Lady Bulldogs with two hits.

In game two. Emmagail Kelley got the start and went seven innings. She gave up five runs on six hits with two strikeouts and one walk. Iris Farve led with two hits.

Against Co-Lin on Sunday, the Lady Bulldogs fell 6-5 and 12-4.

In game one, Elleigh Willis suffered the loss. She went 6 1/3 innings and gave up six runs on six hits with four strikeouts and four walks. Leah Kinard and Willis each had two hits with Kinard adding a homerun and a triple and Willis adding a homerun.

In game two, Emmagail Kelley got the start. Kasandra Gaona, Neera Bell and Chesney Beckham also pitched in the game. Gaona suffered the loss. Kinard led with two hits while Iris Farve and AnnaLeigh Jones each added a homerun.
