Lady Bulldogs split with Lady Wildcats
GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs split two games here Saturday with Pearl River Community College falling 3-1 and winning 2-1 in game two.
Holmes will host Mississippi Delta on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in a MACCC doubleheader.
In game one, Emmagail Kelley went seven innings and gave up three runs on eight hits with three strikeouts and one walk. Iris Farve and McKayla Crowley each had one hit with Farve adding a double.
In game two, Elleigh Willis went seven innings and picked up the win. She gave up one run on five hits with five strikeouts and two walks. She and McKayla Crowley each had a hit. AnnaLeigh Jones got hit on the arm and moved around to third before Leah Kinard sacrificed in for the win in the bottom of the seventh.
