Holmes takes two from Arkansas State, 8-0 and 2-0
GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 12-4 overall with two wins here Friday over the Arkansas State University Red Wolves, 8-0 and 2-0.
Holmes travels to Jackson CC on Tuesday at 12/2 p.m.
In game one, Elleigh Willis picked up the win. She went four innings and gave up one hit with one strikeout and one walk. Kasandra Gaona went two innings. She gave up two hits with one strikeout. Lanie Phillips and Willis each had two hits with Willis adding a triple. Leah Kinard and Maycee Knight added a double while Neera Bell added a triple.
In game two, Emmagail Kelley picked up the win. She went seven innings and gave up five hits with five strikeouts and one walk. Bell led the Lady Bulldogs with two hits.
