Lady Bulldogs win 5-2 over LSU-E and 15-3 over Moberly

VICKSBURG --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs picked up two wins here Friday in the Hinds Community College Invitational, 5-2 over LSU-Eunice and 15-3 over Moberly Area.

With the wins, the Lady Bulldogs improved to 10-4 overall. Holmes plays Arkansas State on Friday at 2/4 p.m. in Goodman.

In game one, Emmagail Kelley picked up the win. She gave up two runs on seven hits with one strikeout. Leah Kinard, Neera Bell and AnnaLeigh Jones each had two hits with Bell and Jones adding a double. Iris Farve  had a homerun.

In game two, Kasandra Gaona picked up the win. She gave up three runs on three hits with three strikeouts and one walk. Neera Bell pitched the final two innings. Kinard and Farve each led the Lady Bulldogs with four hits with Kinard adding two triples and Farve adding two doubles. Lanie Phillips had three hits while Maycee Knight added a homerun.
