Lady Bulldogs take two Jackson State CC 5-2 and 15-1

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs picked up two wins here Tuesday over the Jackson State Community College Greenjays, 5-2 and 15-1.

With the wins, the Lady Bulldogs improved to 6-6 overall. Holmes plays LSU-Eunice and Moberly Area on Friday at 2:30/5 p.m. at Sports Force Park in Vicksburg.

In game one, Emmagail Kelley got the win. She went seven innings and gave up two runs on six hits with four strikeouts. Leah Kinard led the Lady Bulldogs with two hits. Maycee Knight and AnnaLeigh Jones each had a double.

In game two, Kasandra Gaona picked up the win. She went four innings and gave up one run on three this with two walks. Neera Bell went one inning and had a strikeout. Lanie Phillips led the Lady Bulldogs with three hits including a homerun and two doubles. LaCristia Edwards and Jones each had two hits. Edwards and Jones each doubled and Jones added a homerun. Iris Farve added a double.
