SENATOBIA --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to 8-1 on the season with a 104-94 over the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers here Monday.
Holmes will play Meridian in Goodman on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The Bulldogs will end first semester play on Saturday at 2 p.m. vs. the LA Knights at home.
Northwest led 49-47 at halftime before the Bulldogs outscored the Rangers 49-47 in the second half.
Trey Alexander led the Bulldogs with 22 points while Tre'Voin Bass added 18, Jhamien Smith had 16, Markalon Rochell had 15, Emajai Horton 13 and Isaiah Patrick 10.
Smith finished with 12 rebounds while Horton had 11.
The Bulldogs shot 53 percent from the floor in the game.
Against Hinds on Friday, the Bulldogs won 92-84 in Utica.
Alexander led with 20 points while Rochell had 18, Bass 13 and Andrew Mancell had 11. Rochell and Mancell each had seven rebounds.
