SHREVEPORT --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to 5-1 overall with a 68-67 win here Saturday over Southern University-Shreveport.
The Bulldogs return to action on Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. vs. Baton Rouge.
Markalon Rochell led the Bulldogs with 23 points while Trey Alexander had 12. Deriyon Graydon led with seven rebounds and added nine points.
On Thursday, the Bulldogs picked up a 77-59 against Delgado in New Orleans. Holmes led 36-27 at halftime.
Tre'Voin Bass led the Bulldogs with 14 points. Andrew Mancell had 12, Jhamien Smith and Emajai Horton each had 11 and Deriyon Graydon and Jacobe Cavett each had 10.
Against Baton Rouge on Nov. 13, the Bulldogs won 72-70.
Andrew Mancell led with 14 points while Jhamien Smith had 13, Alexander had 12 and David Washington and Rochell each added 11. Rochell led with six rebounds.
