Bulldogs open the season on Nov. 1 vs. Delgado

The Holmes Community College Bulldogs return three players from last year's team to the 2022-23 squad and features 10 newcomers to the program. The Bulldogs open the season on Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. vs. Delgado in Goodman.

The Bulldogs finished the 2022-23 season 11-13 overall and 7-7 in the MACCC. Holmes fell to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in the NJCAA Region XXIII Tournament Second Round Game, 92-72.

Returners include: Caleb Campbell, 6'3, guard, Hot Springs, Ark., Lakeside; Jourdain Dishmond, 6'8, forward, Alexandria, La., Holy Savior Menard; and Eric Green, 6'2, guard, Starkville, Starkville. Campbell averaged 13.3 points per game for the Bulldogs. He also had 3.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Dishmond averaged 6.3 points per game. He also had 3.1 rebounds per game while Green averaged 4.9 points per game with 3.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. Raymond Adams, a 6'8 forward, from Jackson and YPSI Prep is a sophomore.

Freshmen include: Corey Jackson, 6'3, guard, Canton, Canton; Dominic Simpkins, 6'4, guard, Waveland, D'Iberville; Caleb Kent, 6'2, guard, Madison, Madison Central; Jamar Jenkins, 6', guard, Jackson, Petal; Michael Whitmore, 5'10, guard, Atlanta Ga., Woodward Academy; Jalen Tatum, 6'4, guard, Raymond, Pine Bluff; Dacory Porter, 6'3, guard, Jackson, Terry; Corbin Campbell, 6'3, forward, Durant, Holmes County Central; and Christian Parks, 6'7, forward, Collinsville, Petal.
