Bulldogs knock off the Lions, 66-63

SCOOBA --- Late free throws from sophomore guard Kaleb Higgins made this difference here tonight as the Holmes Community College Bulldogs knocked off the East Mississippi Community College Lions, 66-63.

With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 3-2 in the North Division. Holmes hosts Itawamba on Thursday night in Goodman. You can watch live at holmesccmedia.com/cardinal-channel.

The Bulldogs led 29-23 at halftime before the Lions outscored the Bulldogs in the second half, 40-37, but it wasn't enough as the Bulldogs pulled it out in the end.

Higgins led the Bulldogs with 18 points while Tanorrio Ransburgh had 15.

For the game, the Bulldogs shot 44.2 percent from the floor (23-of-52), 37.5 percent from the three-point line (6-of-16) and 73.7 percent from the free throw line (14-of-19).
