GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell here in a back-and-forth contest Thursday night to the Northeast Mississippi Community College Tigers, 56-51.
With the loss, the Bulldogs fell to 14-7 overall and 6-4 in the North. Holmes hosts Northwest in their final home regular season game on Monday at 8 p.m. before closing the regular season out on the road at Itawamba on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Northeast led Holmes, 26-24, at halftime and then outscored the Bulldogs, 30-27, in the second half. Holmes led by five at 42-37 in the second half.
Winford Ross led the Bulldogs with 14 points while Czar Perry had 13. Ross had nine rebounds and Perry had eight.
