GOODMAN --- The No. 13 Holmes Community College Bulldogs bounced back from a heartbreaking loss at Northwest Mississippi Community College Thursday with a 64-60 win here Monday night over Coahoma Community College.
With the win, the Bulldogs went to 8-1 on the season and 1-1 in the North Division. Holmes travels to Southwest Tennessee on Saturday at 4 p.m.
The Tigers led 30-25 at halftime before the Bulldogs battled back in the second half outscoring the Tigers 39-30. Coahoma held the largest lead of the game in the first half, 22-13.
Freshman Demarkis Weatherall led the Bulldogs with 14 points while Cedric Harper had 13, Lacurtis Allen had 12 and Jamahl Jackson had 10. Harper pulled in 17 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs.
