12 Bulldogs sign with four-year schools today
GOODMAN --- Twelve Holmes Community College Bulldogs signed this morning with four-year schools across the country to continue their education and athletic playing careers.
The Bulldog Football program held a signing this morning in the foyer of Frank Branch Coliseum for the Bulldogs moving on.
Included in the signing were: Cayden Burger, Eastern Michigan; E.J. Segrest, Nicholls; Jeremy Atkins, Prairie View; Jon Stephens, Akron; Jaylin Rogers, Troy; Lionel Williams, Nicholls; P.J. Pace, Delta State; B.J. Johnson, Delta State; Jekerious Williams, Delta State; Kam'Ron Robinson, South Alabama; J.J. Harrell, Old Dominion; and Nireek Sharpe, Charlotte.
Burger, a sophomore receiver from Petal, had 50 catches for 470 yards and five touchdowns during his career at Holmes.
Segrest, a linebacker from Copiah Academy, finished his Holmes career with 146 tackles including 11.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.
Atkins, a defensive back from West Jefferson, La., had 69 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and three interceptions during his career.
Stephens, a freshman offensive lineman from Mary G. Montgomery, Ala., was a starter at offensive tackle during his only season at Holmes.
Rogers, a sophomore offensive guard from Union, played offensive guard for his two years at Holmes.
Williams, a sophomore from Hazlehurst, was injured in summer workouts and was unable to play in 2025, but as a freshman, he had 24 tackles, four tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.
Pace, a sophomore defensive back from Kosciusko, finished his Holmes career with 77 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and two sacks.
Johnson, a sophomore receiver from Greene County, finished his Holmes career with 58 catches for 739 yards and seven touchdowns.
Williams, a sophomore receiver from Grenada, had 51 catches for 431 yards.
Robinson, a sophomore defensive back from Winona, had 62 tackles, four tackles for loss and one interception during his Holmes career.
Harrell, a sophomore receiver from North Panola, had 14 catches for 226 yards and two touchdowns and five carries for 21 yards and three touchdowns in his only season at Holmes.
Sharpe, a sophomore defensive back from Stockbridge, Ga., had 28 tackles including .5 tackles for loss and two interceptions.
Johnson, Williams, Robinson, Harrell and Sharpe were not pictured today.
Holmes expects many more Bulldogs to sign in the coming days.
