Bulldogs fall to Rangers on Homecoming 2025
GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell here Thursday on Homecoming 2025 to the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers, 45-10.
Holmes will end the season at East Mississippi on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Northwest picked up a Holmes fumble for a score early in the first. The extra point put Northwest up 7-0 with 11:17 to play in the first.
The Rangers scored again with 5:41 left in the quarter on a passing touchdown and extra point and led 14-0.
Northwest added two passing touchdowns and a field goal to go up 31-0 with 1:45 left in the second.
Holmes got three points as Dan Lindsay nailed a 40-yard field goal as the first half ended.
The Rangers scored a rushing touchdown in the third. Withthe extra point, Northwest led 38-3. The Rangers a passing touchdown and extra point with 9:53 to play in third and led 45-3.
The Bulldogs final points came with 38 seconds to play when Cole McCarty scored from six yards out. Lindsay's extra point was good.
McCarty finished 23-of-33 for 148 yards. B.J. Johnson had four catches for 43 yards.
Kebian Gilmore had nine tackles and two TFLs while Kendrick Davis had seven tackles, 1.5 sacks and 1.5 TFLs, Jeremy Atkins had seven tackles, 1.5 TFLs while E.J. Segrest and P.J. Pace each had six tackles.
