Pulliam named MACCC Defensive Player of the Week
Holmes Community College freshman Reid Pulliam of Belton, Texas has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference's Defensive Player of the Week for his play last week against Coahoma Community College.
Pulliam and the Bulldogs defeated Coahoma, 28-21, in overtime to move to 2-2 on the season.
Against the Tigers, Pulliam had 12 tackles (six solos, six assisted) along with three sacks for 31 yards, 3.5 tackles for loss for 32 yards, a forced fumble and a pass breakup. On the season, he has 39 tackles for 9.8 tackles per game including five sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss to place him in the top 10 in the NJCAA.
Pulliam will now be considered for the NJCAA Defensive Player of the Week honors.
