Former Bulldog Sean Harper signs unrestricted free agent contract with the Houston Texans

Former Holmes Community College defensive back Sean Harper has signed an unrestricted free agent contract the Houston Texans.

The Hartwell, Ga. native played two seasons for the Bulldogs before transferring the last two seasons at Washington State University.

As a freshman at Holmes, Harper had 38 tackles including three tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions and 10 pass breakups. As a sophomore, he had 25 tackles, one tackle for loss, two interceptions and four pass breakups. He was named First Team All-State as a freshman. Harper played on the 2016 team that won the Graphic Edge Bowl over Iowa Western.

At Washington State, he was a two-year letterwinner appearing in 19 games, eight as a starter at cornerback. As a senior, he started six games and recorded 22 tackles, three pass breakups and one forced fumble. As a junior, he appeared in all 13 games making two starts. He recorded 23 tackles with six pass breakups and one interception. He had a tackle and a pass breakup against No. 18 Michigan State in the Holiday Bowl.
