Bulldogs split with Meridian Eagles Saturday
GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here Saturday with the Meridian Community College Eagles winning 12-6 in game one and falling 6-1 in game two.
Holmes will host Northwest at 3/6 p.m. Tuesday.
In game one, Tyler Bickett got the start. Drew Daigle, Lane Robertson and Warner Young also pitched in the game with Robertson picking up the win. Ethan Trimble, Jack Harkins and Wes Bishop each had three hits with Bishop adding a three-run homerun and Harkins adding a double. Jaxon Cripps and J.R. North each had two hits with Cripps adding a double. Ethan Walker had a two-run homerun.
In game two, Mac Griffin got the start and suffered the loss. Britt Stringer and Ethan Trimble pitched in the game. North led with two hits including a solo homerun. Chase Peeples added a double.
