Bulldogs split with Northeast Tigers

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here Wednesday falling 13-4 and winning 9-2.

Holmes will host Jones for a 2/5 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday.

In game one, Mac Griffin got the start and suffered the loss. Drew Daigle and Carter Rose also pitched in the game. Jack Harkins led with three hits including a double. Jaxon Cripps and Ethan Walker each had two hits with Walker adding a homerun and Cripps adding a double. A.J. Arguello also doubled in the game.

Warner Young got the start and picked up the win in game two. He went 6 1/3 innings and gave up two runs on five hits with two walks and five strikeouts. Lane Robertson went the final 2/3 of an inning and gave up one hit and had a strikeout. Jaxon Cripps and Jack Harkins each had two hits with Cripps adding a double. Ethan Walker and Charley Dunn also doubled.
