Bulldogs take two from Baton Rouge
GOODMAN --- The Holmes Bulldogs took two games here Wednesday from the Baton Rouge Community College Bears, 8-3 and 2-1.
Holmes returns to MACCC action on Saturday at Jones at 2/5 p.m.
Ethan Trimble started game one and picked up the win. He went five innings and gave up one run on five hits. Vince Glorioso went one inning and had a strikeout. Carson Moon went one inning and gave up two runs on one hit with one walk and one strikeout.
Nicolas Schwing, Xavier Myles, Cade Clinton and Sam Roy each had two hits with Clinton and Roy adding doubles. Hunter Azemar and Landon Wallace each added a double.
In game two, John Paul Buckner got the start going all seven innings and gave up one run on two hits. He had seven strikeouts and one walk.
Amari Conley had a go-ahead homerun in the sixth while Myles added a double.
