Bulldogs sweep Hinds, 12-11 and 9-4
GOODMAN --- The No. 24 ranked Holmes Community College Bulldogs picked up two MACCC wins here Wednesday over the Hinds Community College Eagles winning game one, 12-11, and 9-4 in game two.
Holmes will play at Co-Lin on Friday at 1/4 p.m.
In game one, Aidan Bellman got the start. He went one inning before giving way to Ethan Trimble. Trimble went five innings before Seth Terrell came in to pitch 2 1/3 innings. Carson Moon pitched the remaining 2/3 of an inning to pick up the win.
Amari Conley and Brenden Skirtech each had three hits in the game with Conley adding two doubles and Skirtech one. Nicolas Schwing, Xavier Myles, Sam Roy and Landon Wallace each had two hits with Myles adding a homerun and Roy having a triple. Thomas Kuhn added a double in the game. Schwing walked the game off with a single to score Wallace from second.
In game two, John Paul Buckner got the start and picked up the win. He went five innings and gave up three runs on five hits with nine strikeouts and three walks. Josh Fleming went two innings and had two strikeouts.
Hunter Azemar led with two hits including a double. Schwing added a double.
