Bulldogs fall to Bobcats in season's final DH

ELLISVILLE --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell here twice Friday to Jones College falling in a heartbreaker 3-2 and falling in game two, 11-3.

The Bulldogs ended the season 11-29 and 8-20 in the MACCC.

In game one, Matthew Koch went seven innings and gave up six hits with two strikeouts and one walk. Jake McKay suffered the loss. He gave up three runs on two walks. Abbott Hankins pitched the final inning. Hankins, Cole Drake and Evan Scott each had two hits with Drake having two doubles and Carson Buckner adding a double.

In game two, Brody Wilkins got the start and suffered the loss. He went one inning and gave up nine runs on seven hits with one walk. Will Cook went 1/3 of an inning and gave up two runs on one hit with two walks. Heath McBride finished the game and had one walk and one strikeout in 4 2/3 innings. Hayden Beall led the Bulldogs with two hits including a double.
