Bulldogs split with Warriors falling 7-2 and winning 10-6

DECATUR --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here Saturday with East Central Community College falling 7-2 and winning 10-6.

The Bulldogs improved to 4-2 in the MACCC. Holmes will play Northeast in Goodman at 2/5 p.m.

In game one, Keegan Cormier went 6 2/3 innings and gave up four runs on four hits with four strikeouts and three walks and suffered the loss. Jake McKay went one inning and gave up three runs on five hits while Will Cook went 1/3 of an inning. Cole Drake and Reece Smith each had two hits with Drake adding a double along with doubles from Kenneth Moore and Ethan Parmegiani.

In game two, Matthew Kock went five innings and gave up five runs on seven hits with six strikeouts and two walks. Jackson Dollar went two innings and gave up one run on three hits. Carson Buckner led with four hits including a double whle Parmegiani had three hits and Drake, Smith and Evan Scott each had two hits. Drake had a solo homerun while Moore added a three-run homerun.
