Bulldogs sweep Coahoma, 14-6 and 7-1

MILLINGTON, Tenn. --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to 3-1 in the MACCC after sweeping Coahoma here Wednesday, 14-6 in eight innings and 7-1.

Holmes will play East Central in Decatur at 2/5 on Saturday.

In game one, Brody Wilkins picked up thew win. He went six innings and gave up six runs on 10 hits with five strikeouts and two walks. Jackson Dollar went two innings and gave up three hits with one strikeout.

Hayden Beall led the Bulldogs with three hits including a double. Abbott Hankins, Carson Bucker and Matthew Koch each had two hits with Koch having a double.

In game two, Cordarius Brown got the start and went 2 1/3 innings and gave up one run on one hit with one strikeout. Eric Gibbs picked up the win 2 1/3 innings of work. He gave up three hits with four strikeouts. Will Cook went 2 1/3 innings and gave up two hits with two strikeouts. 

Reese Smith led the Bulldogs with three hits including two doubles while Cole Drake and Buckner had two hits each.
