Bulldogs fall to Coahoma, 13-5 and 6-5 in 17 innings

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell here Tuesday to the Coahoma Community College Tigers, 13-5 and 6-5 in 17 innings.

Holmes will wrap up the season on Saturday in Goodman versus Jones College at 2/5 p.m. You can watch the doubleheader live at holmesccmedia.com/white-channel.

In game one, Cordarius Brown got the start and went 4 2/3 innings suffering the loss. He gave up seven runs on six hits with four strikeouts and two walks. Landon Herbert went one inning while Heath McBride went 1 1/3 innings.

Alex Frillman led the Bulldogs with three hits including a three-run homerun. Cole Drake had two hits.

In game two, Frillman got the start and went four innings. He gave up two runs on five hits with five strikeout and four walks. Will Cook went two innings while Parker Wood went nine innings and Jake McKay went two innings and suffered the loss in the 17th inning.

Frillman and Drake each had two hits with Frillman adding another homerun, this one a two-run shot.

Holmes fell to Meridian on Saturday, 12-0 and 11-0.

In game one, Dillon Spears suffered the loss. Brown and Herbert also pitched in the game. Abbott Hankins and Cameron Pilgrim each had a hit in the game.

In game two, Matthew Koch suffered the loss. Wood also pitched in the game. Hankins and Drake each had one hit with Drake's hit being a double.
