Bulldogs split with Rangers
GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here today with the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers falling 12-4 and winning 3-2.
Holmes is scheduled to play Pearl River on Saturday in Poplarville at 2/5 p.m.
In game one, Charlie Lott suffered the loss. He went 3 1/3 innings and gave up 10 runs on seven hits with two strikeouts and two walks. Will Cook went 3 2/3 innings and gave up two runs on five hits with three strikeouts and three walks.
Darian Duhon had a three-run homerun for the Bulldogs while Hayden Beall and Kenneth Moore added a double each.
In game two, Brody Wilkins got the win and went seven innings. He gave up two runs on five hits with five strikeouts.
Jase Grantham led the Bulldogs with two hits with Beall adding a double.
