Bulldogs fall to Wolves, 17-15 and 4-3

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College had two battles here Saturday with Copiah-Lincoln Community College but came up short in both contests falling 17-15 in game one and 4-3 in game two.

Holmes will play Mississippi Delta on Tuesday in Moorhead at 1/4 p.m.

In game one, Matthew Koch got the start and went six innings. He gave up four runs on eight hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Parker Wood suffered the loss. He went 2/3 of an inning and gave up eight runs on one hit with four walks and a strikeout. Brody Wilkins went 1 1/3 innings and gave up two runs on three hits with one strikeout while Will Cook went one inning and gave up three runs on one hit with one strikeout.

Alex Frillman led the Bulldogs with five hits including three 2-run homeruns. Darian Duhon had three hits including a solo homerun while Abbott Hankins and Ethan Parmegiani each had two hits with Hankins adding a solo homerun. Cole Drake also added a homerun.

In game two, Hayden Bosarge took the loss. He went two innings and gave up three runs on three hits with four strikeouts and five walks. Charlie Lott went three innings and gave up one run on two hits with one strikeout and one walk while Cade Johnson went two innings and gave up two hits with one strikeout.

Drake led the Bulldogs with two hits including a homerun. Kenneth Moore added a double.
