Bulldogs and NE Tigers split a pair Wednesday

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here Wednesday with the Northeast Mississippi Community College Tigers, winning 4-3 in game one and falling 7-5 in game two.

The Bulldogs will return to action on Tuesday versus Mississippi Delta Community College in Goodman. Games are at 2/5 p.m. You can watch live at holmesccmedia.com/white-channel.

In game one, Brody Wilkins got the start. He went 1 2/3 innings and gave up three hits with three strikeouts and no walks. Matthew Koch went 4 1/3 innings and gave up two hits with three strikeouts and one walk. Parker Wood picked up the win in one inning of work. He gave up one hit with one walk and one strikeout.

Hayden Beall had three hits for the Bulldogs including a game-winning RBI single to end the game. Logan Toups had two hits while Alex Frillman added a RBI triple to tie the game in the seventh.

In game two, Hayden Bosarge started the game for the Bulldogs and went 2 2/3 innings. Jake McKay went 1 1/3 innings, Cade Johnson went two innings, Landon Herbert went 2/3 of an inning and Heath McBride made an appearance. Bosarge suffered the loss in the contest.

Cole Drake and Beall each had two hits in game two.

Holmes trailed 7-3 going into the seventh and picked up two runs. Beall drove in Austin Telano from second before Toups scored Drake from third.
