Bulldogs Athletics unveils new look for web

RIDGELAND — Holmes Community College is pleased to announce the launch of HolmesAthletics.com, an interactive site showcasing the latest sports news, events and highlights to members of the Bulldog Nation worldwide.
 
HolmesAthletics.com is designed to help the Bulldog Nation stay connected to baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, golf, soccer, softball and tennis. The site provides real-time statistics, standings, media guides, recruiting information, player/coaches bios, video, live streaming and schedules. Visitors can also take a virtual tour of the athletics facilities at Holmes Community College.
 
“As the Holmes Community College Athletics Department positioned itself as an elite community college in Mississippi, we had to provide a web presence that exemplified a world-class attitude,” said Barin von Foregger, Web and Multimedia Specialist with Holmes Community College. “We wanted our site to stand apart from other schools in the state, and the nation.”
 
Foregger said the college partnered with PrestoSports, a Maryland company, when revamping Holmes CC’s sports web presence.

 
“With a small staff, it was crucial that we find a content management system for the web that was easy to use, yet didn’t sacrifice when aiming for professional results,” Foregger said. “We are extremely happy with our new site.”
 
PrestoSports, founded in 2002, is a leading provider of athletic content management software to colleges and conference offices. It markets solutions for web site design/hosting, live stats, award management, merchandising, officiating and photo hosting. The PrestoSports staff includes former sports information directors, conference administrators and collegiate marketers.
