Avant, Robinson named Holmes CC Players of the Week

GOODMAN --- Holmes sophomore midfielder Kaylee Avant on the women's soccer team and Kam'Ron Robinson on the football team have been named Players of the Week for their play this week.

Avant, a Newton County product from Decatur, finished the week with two goals and three assists. No. 3 Holmes defeated St. Louis, 8-0, and No. 17 Northeast, 2-0.Sutton scored three goals in the Lady Bulldogs' three wins this week. Holmes defeated Southern Union State, 1-0, Pensacola State, 7-0, and Dallas-Brookhaven, 2-0.

Robinson, a Winona High product from Winona, had 11 tackles including one tackle for loss, one forced fumble and an interception return 61 yards for a touchdown in the Bulldogs' 30-13 loss at Co-Lin.
