Lopez, Wood named Players of the Week

Brianna Lopez and Ryan Wood have been named Players of the Week for their play last week.

Lopez, a sophomore forward on the No. 3 Lady Bulldogs women's soccer team from Fort Smith, Ark., finished the week with 5 shots and 3 shots on goal and scored one goal but had two assists in the Lady Bulldogs' win 3-1 win over Gulf Coast. Holmes fell to Northwest on Friday, 1-0. Wood, a sophomore punter from Grenada, had a cannon for a leg Thursday night in Booneville. He had six punts averaging 45.8 yards per punt with a long of 58. He had two inside the 20 and two fair caught in the game.
